Nurturing Roots Collective

Coming Soon to Flagler County: Nurturing Roots Collective
Holistic, Homestead-Based Education for the Next Generation
Welcome to Nurturing Roots Collective
A Homestead-Based Micro-School
Where Children Grow Deep Roots and Families Flourish Together
At Nurturing Roots Collective, we believe real education begins with connection — to the land, to each other, and to meaningful work. Our micro-school and homestead learning center offers a hands-on, heart-centered alternative to traditional schooling.
This is not just a school — it’s a living classroom, a community-building movement, and a return to the roots of what it means to learn, grow, and thrive together.

Our Mission
To nurture whole-child education through real-world learning, homesteading experiences, and strong family connections — empowering children and mothers to grow in capability, resilience, and joy.
---
Who We Serve
We begin with a small, intentional micro-school for children ages 5–8, with a maximum of six students to start. This allows us to offer deeply personalized education in a warm, family-style setting.
As interest and need grow, our programs will expand alongside the children — supporting their academic, emotional, and social development over time. We aim to keep our community intact as students grow older, fostering long-term friendships between families and children.

A Well-Rounded Education — Rooted in Nature and Philosophy
At Nurturing Roots, we blend the most powerful aspects of holistic education:
Montessori (independence, hands-on materials, self-paced learning)
Charlotte Mason (living books, nature journaling, habit formation)
Waldorf (imagination, rhythm, seasonal festivals, arts-integration)
And other child-led, nature-based, and project-driven pedagogies
We incorporate math, science, literature, geography, social studies, and more — all woven into meaningful daily work and seasonal rhythms. Our students learn through real-life experience, not rote worksheets.
As the program grows, we plan to include regular field trips to natural and historical sites, local farms, artisan workshops, and community service projects — making the world our classroom.

Homestead-Based Learning: Education That Feeds the Soul
Our curriculum isn’t found in a workbook — it’s rooted in the soil, in real life, and in purpose. Every day at Nurturing Roots, children will:
Tend to our meat rabbits, quail, goats, and laying hens learning responsibility, biology, and care
Participate in the care of our greenhouse-raised vegetable beds and fruit orchard
Enjoy wholesome, organic breakfasts and help prepare farm-to-table lunches
Develop hands-on skills through woodworking, plumbing basics, motor repair, and metalwork
Learn how to ethically raise, harvest, and process animals
Milk goats, make cheese, and understand the full cycle of food systems
Using plants as our Medicine

A Curriculum for the Future — Not the Past
We are boldly cultivating a curriculum inspired by what the elite 1% of society is teaching their children — subjects that foster innovation, adaptability, emotional intelligence, real-world mastery, and purpose-driven leadership.
We veer away from rote memorization and outdated facts and instead emphasize:
Critical thinking and problem-solving
Ethical entrepreneurship
Real-world application of academics
Effective communication and collaboration
Adaptability and lifelong learning
Emotional wellness and spiritual grounding
Our learners are being prepared not just to succeed in the world as it is — but to thrive in the world that is becoming.

A Village for Mothers, Too
We believe that empowered children are raised by supported mothers.
Nurturing Roots offers educational workshops for moms, focused on building self-reliance, creativity, and wellness through community connection. These sessions are optional but powerful, and include topics such as:
Sourdough baking & fermentation
Holistic first aid & natural skincare
Herbal remedies from Florida wildflowers
Microgreens & food system setup
Food preservation & cheese making
& Much More!
Mothers will have the opportunity to bring their children, enjoy supportive community, and develop profitable and sustainable homesteading skills.

Limitless Possibility, Grounded in Purpose
The Nurturing Roots Collective is designed to grow with time and need. The project is limitless — as children mature, our curriculum will expand to meet their evolving interests, skills, and curiosities.
Whether we’re building a solar-powered water system, harvesting eggs, or crafting homemade soaps, each experience offers rich educational value — academically, emotionally, and practically.
We are not building a one-size-fits-all school. We are creating a dynamic, intergenerational learning village that evolves alongside the families who call it home.

Our Living Classroom
Set on a working homestead, our 2.27-acre property includes:
A greenhouse with raised garden beds
A growing fruit orchard
Dedicated zones for quail and meat rabbits
Planned expansion to include egg-laying chickens and dairy goats
Outdoor learning areas, nature-based play, and workshop spaces
As our infrastructure grows, so will our curriculum and offerings — ensuring continuity of education and depth of experience.

We’re Planting Seeds — Come Grow With Us
The Nurturing Roots Collective is not yet open — but we are seeking families who believe in this vision and want to be part of something deeper, slower, and more meaningful.
If you're a family looking for:
An alternative to traditional or rigid school models
A rich, natural environment where learning is alive
A tight-knit community that grows with your child
A chance to raise your children in a hands-on, self-sufficient way...
We are actively gauging interest as we build this vision. While we anticipate the community will be ready for full launch in 2027, we are preemptively seeking families who want to help shape something meaningful from the ground up.
Let’s raise rooted, resilient children — together.
If this vision resonates with what you desire for yourself, your child, and your family, we warmly invite you to join our WhatsApp group and begin connecting with other like-minded mothers. As our community continues to grow, I’ll keep you updated every step of the way. Together, we’ll shape a program that reflects the unique needs and values of the families it serves.
This collective is not just about what I bring as a guide or facilitator—it’s about what you, as a parent, believe your child truly needs. It’s about honoring each child's individual learning journey and creating an environment where their growth is supported in a way that feels natural, respectful, and deeply aligned with who they are.
