🌿 Discovery Junction Mentorship Program

Empowering Homeschool Teens to Lead, Learn, and Give Back

At Discovery Junction, we believe every stage of learning has value — and that older homeschool students have something extraordinary to offer. Our Mentorship Program provides homeschooled teens (ages 14 and up) the opportunity to step into meaningful leadership roles within our co-op while gaining valuable, real-world experience.

Through this program, teens become Junior Guides, assisting during hands-on learning days for children ages 0–10. They help younger students explore nature, create art, discover science, and engage with the world around them — all while developing independence, confidence, and purpose.

It’s a truly symbiotic relationship: younger children benefit from having relatable role models to look up to, while older students grow through mentorship, responsibility, and service. Each learns from the other — building connection, compassion, and community along the way.

Our Junior Guides receive a paid stipend for their contributions, with flexible options for families who also have younger siblings enrolled in the co-op.

At Discovery Junction, learning comes full circle — through mentorship, growth, and shared experience. 🌱
