Nature School Programs for Homeschool Families

Discovery Junction blends intentional curriculum with real outdoor exploration. Choose the community closest to your family by service area, meeting day, and current community status.

Parent-Present Nature School Ages 2–10

Every Discovery Junction gathering begins with a thoughtfully planned learning focus, but some of our best lessons are the ones nature creates for us.

We meet within each listed service area at rotating outdoor locations. Families do not meet at one permanent classroom. Instead, locations are chosen to match the curriculum, support hands-on learning, and help children explore real ecosystems throughout their region.

Children get dirty, wet, sweaty, curious, and confident as they explore real ecosystems through hands-on, place-based learning.

Parental participation is required

Find Your Discovery Region

Each Discovery Junction community serves a specific geographic area and uses rotating outdoor locations instead of one fixed classroom. Select your region to view its schedule, current community status, trial information, and enrollment options.

Quick comparison: Southern Treasure Coast is an active community meeting Tuesdays at 10:00 AM. Northern Palm Beach registration is now open for Monday gatherings at 10:30 AM, with trial classes planned for late September through early October 2026. Indian River Lagoon registration is also open for Friday gatherings at 10:30 AM, with trial classes planned for late September through early October 2026. Space Coast is rebuilding for an anticipated November 2026 relaunch on Thursdays at 11:00 AM.

🌻 Growing Future Leaders 🌻

Learning does not stop with our youngest explorers. Older homeschool students can develop leadership, responsibility, and real-world experience while mentoring younger children in outdoor learning environments.

Teen Mentors Ages 14–17

Teen mentors work alongside Discovery Junction guides, help younger learners investigate and explore, and build meaningful leadership experience. Eligible mentors may receive paid stipends and can include the experience in homeschool portfolios.

Volunteer Pathways Ages 11–17

Volunteers earn documented service hours while supporting younger students, assisting with activities, and helping build stronger homeschool communities.

Become Part of the Adventure
