πΎ Programs Overview πΎ
At Discovery Junction, our programs are built around curiosity, connection, and confidence.
We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences and community collaboration — and that families flourish when they learn together.
πΏ Cooperative Programs (Ages 2–17) πΏ
Our co-op model brings families together for shared learning experiences in nature and community.
Each group is led by a Discovery Junction Guide, ensuring structure, support, and consistency throughout each session.
Parents participate alongside their children, building relationships while helping facilitate activities.
β¨ Parental participation is required.
Families who assist during sessions may also earn volunteer hours toward their homeschool portfolios.
π± Drop-Off Programs (Ages 11–17) π±
For older students ready for more independence, our drop-off programs offer engaging, project-based learning in small groups.
Students explore leadership, teamwork, and creative problem-solving while developing essential real-world skills.
Each drop-off class is led by a homeschool mom instructor — not a certified teacher — who is hired and compensated competitively to guide the community.
Our instructors bring a deep understanding of flexible, child-centered learning and share our mission of empowering homeschool families.
Drop-off programs are designed for students who are ready to participate independently under the guidance of our qualified homeschool mom instructors.
πΌ We are currently seeking homeschool moms who love guiding older students (ages 11–17). Apply through the “Become an Instructor” link below!
π» Mentorship & Volunteer Pathways π»
Discovery Junction also provides growth opportunities for teens through mentorship and volunteer programs:
Mentorship Program (Ages 14–17)
Teen mentors assist with younger learners (ages 2–10), model leadership, and help guide activities alongside our instructors.
Mentors may receive paid stipends for their contributions and can include the experience in their homeschool portfolios.
Volunteer Pathways (Ages 11–17)
Volunteers support our communities while earning documented volunteer hours toward their homeschool requirements.
Both roles foster responsibility, leadership, and connection — while creating real opportunities for homeschool students to grow within their community.
